Professorships

The University of Maryland School of Medicine excels because of the leadership of our faculty, and building the best team of professors is a vital initiative. One of the most valuable means of recruiting, retaining, and rewarding exceptional faculty members is through endowed professorships, which allow faculty to pursue research interests while guiding students.

A gift to an endowed professorship allows School of Medicine departments to bolster the educational experience they provide to students and is an investment in the future.
