Maryland Psychiatric Research Center

The Maryland Psychiatric Research Center (MPRC) at the University of Maryland School of Medicine is dedicated to the conduct of cutting-edge basic, clinical, and translational research on the causes, manifestations, and treatment of schizophrenia and related disorders; to the provision of treatment to people with this illness; and to the education of the next generation of mental health professionals.

The donation of gifts allows our internationally renowned faculty to further our efforts to discover the cure for schizophrenia and pursue new areas of investigation in the behavior, genetics, neuroimaging, and neurochemistry of the disorder. Gifts also help to support our clinical staff in the provision of state-of-the-art, comprehensive and individualized treatment designed to maximize the potential of recovery from this devastating illness.
