Program in Trauma

The Program in Trauma at the University of Maryland School of Medicine is the only multidisciplinary physician group practice in the United States dedicated to the care of traumatic injury and illness. Almost the entirety of clinical practice is conducted at the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center, a global leader in trauma and critical care.

Trauma knows no bounds – trauma deaths cut across age, race, gender and economic boundaries. Trauma and Emergency Care research and education are critically important to public health. Our goal is to save lives, advance science, and educate future leaders in trauma care.
