$10K for 10 Years in Family Medicine

In honor of Dr. Yvette Rooks's 10 years with Family Medicine, support the Residency Training Program's $10K for 10 Years campaign

$10K for 10 Years: Family Medicine Residency Training A Project of Department of Family and Community Medicine

For more than 10 years, Director of the Family Medicine Residency Training Program Dr. Yvette Rooks has worked with the country's most talented family physicians to provide the best education and medical care possible at the University of Maryland School of Medicine Department of Family and Community Medicine.

Through the $10K for 10 Years campaign in honor of Dr. Rooks's decade with Family Medicine, the department can move in astonishing directions with your partnership and investment.

Gifts to the $10K for 10 Years campaign will fund Family Medicine's training program in global and public health, and will add to Family Medicine's already-impressive list of accomplishments during Dr. Rooks's tenure:

  • Growing Family Medicine's Residency Program from 8 to 10 residents annually
  • Expanding our rural, public health, and sports medicine training
  • Developing teaching sites with partner hospitals in the area
  • Awarding two training grants from the American Academy of Family Physicians
  • Recruiting outstanding faculty and residents

How can you help?

Gifts to the $10K for 10 Years campaign in honor of Dr. Rooks's 10 years of leadership of the Family Medicine Residency Training Program will expand opportunities for residents to travel and learn more about health systems outside of Maryland. Your gift helps future generations become leaders in the Family Medicine field. Thank you for your support.
