The Department of Neurology at the School of Medicine has a long and distinguished history in research and patient care for neurologic illness. The Charles Van Buskirk, MD Endowment supports educational initiatives for residents at the Department of Neurology at the School of Medicine, including the purchase of books, equipment, and materials.

While with the Department of Neurology, these residents are an integral part of a cutting-edge program that offers advanced management and treatment modalities to patients with Parkinson's disease and movement disorders, multiple sclerosis, stroke, epilepsy, Alzheimer's disease, spasticity and neuromuscular disease.

The Department of Neurology is one of the top 10 programs in the United States in research funding for a variety of neurological diseases.
