The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine Hypertension Program in the Department of Medicine at the School of Medicine is focused on the study of hypertension, or high blood pressure. Without treatment, this chronic medical condition can lead to heart disease or coronary artery disease, and is a major risk factor for stroke, aneurysms, diseases of the arteries and chronic kidney disease.
