Medical School Teaching Facility (MSTF) Renovation Project

Medical School Teaching Facility: Leave Your Imprint! A Project of Special Projects

Whether for a faculty lecture, an educational symposium, a research conference, or a community or cultural event, many members of the University of Maryland School of Medicine community have spent time in the Medical School Teaching Facility (MSTF) auditorium.

The MSTF is a meeting ground for all, but this research and educational space is far from ideal. Renovations to improve visibility, soundproofing, and lighting throughout MSTF are underway to increase its functionality for faculty, staff, and students.

This investment for the future also includes the much-needed replacement of the many deteriorating seats throughout the auditorium, creating a state-of-the-art space for events and cementing MSTF as a centerpoint for the campus.

How can you help?

You can leave your mark on the MSTF auditorium with your gift of any size to this renovation project.

If you choose to contribute $1,800 or $3,000, you can update one of the chairs and have your gift commemorated with a plaque placed on the chair in MSTF. Your one-time contribution or multi-year pledge of $1,800 for a balcony-level chair or $3,000 for a lower-level chair, or any amount, is deeply appreciated.

Your support of MSTF will be reflected with its name changed to The School of Medicine Leadership Auditorium, a meeting center that captures the potential of research and education being conducted by the School of Medicine community. An architect's rendering of the state-of-the-art new space is shown here.

We are saving a seat for you. How will your plaque be engraved?
